Catholic scouting for fathers and sons

Troop 302 brings together fathers and sons in the Wilming​ton, Delaware area to deepen their relationship with Je​sus and His Church through outdoor experiences, service​ projects, and participation in the Sacraments.

Troop 302 is sponsored through St. Elizabeth parish, is a Delaware-registered ​501 (c) 3, and is chartered with the international scouting organization Troops ​of St. George.

Troop 302 prioritizes outdoor experiences to cultivate ​practical life skills and stewardship of God’s creation. ​This past year, the boys learned how to set up tents, to ​identify different kinds of plants and animals, and to ​safely handle outdoor camping equipment.

The Benedictine tradition of St. Elizabeth parish inspires ​Troop 302 to engage in work that advances the Kingdom ​of God. Troop 302 has a particular charism for repairing ​and restoring Church properties as part of its service to ​the community.

Blessed Carlo Acutis is a patron of both St. Elizabeth ​parish and Troop 302. He inspires our devotion to the ​Eucharist and the Sacraments. The boys have ​opportunities to participate in the Sacramental life of the ​Church and to learn about vocations.

The Troops of Saint George is a fraternal Catholic nonprofit apostolate for priests, men, and young men looking for a life of adventure coupled with virtue, founded in 2013 by Catholic author and professor Dr. Taylor Marshall. Delaware has it's first Troop based at St. Elizabeth Church in Wilmington - Troop 302!
